Baby Led Weaning Cake | Lemon Drizzle

Neil absolutely adores his Mum’s lemon drizzle cake, which is totally delicious, but also I imagine quite calorific and full of sugar. Not great for a young baby whose sugar intake I’m trying to limit. I have never posted a dessert type recipe before, instead focussing on finger food, but there comes a point when a baby reaches a certain age where they start taking an interest in desserts and snacks and I wanted to make something that would be suitable for this, which is why I created this baby led weaning cake.

Baby Led Weaning Burgers | Beetroot, Spinach, Feta and Quinoa

Creating baby led weaning burgers is my new favourite way to create healthy and delicious lunches and dinners for Felix, plus we can enjoy these baby led weaning recipes as a family too. I really enjoy grabbing a bowl, throwing in a mix of ingredients and seeing what new and exciting patty I can create, which is how I discovered these beetroot, spinach, feta and quinoa baby led weaning burgers. This is one of my favourite quinoa recipes for babies!

3 Ingredient Baby Led Weaning Spinach and Banana Pancakes

I’m sure I can’t be the only one who gets overwhelmed from time to time with this baby led weaning malarky. It can be such hard work trying to think up different meals to offer baby and not get stuck in a rut offering the same food day in, day out. Some days I also feel pretty lazy. It can be a tough gig cooking three meals from scratch everyday, especially if you have other children to look after too and even more so if those other children are toddlers! This 3 ingredient baby led weaning pancake recipe is designed for those lazy mornings where you just want to throw three ingredients into a bowl, mix it up and create a healthy, yet yummy breakfast for your baby. If you’re lucky, your toddler might even have one or two as well!

Baby Led Weaning Beetroot Pasta Sauce for Babies

One of the easiest meals to prepare for your baby when the cupboards or bare or you’ve had a particularly challenging day is pasta. What can be simpler than throwing pasta in a pan, topping it up with water and leaving it to boil for ten minutes or so? If you’re feeling slightly more adventurous than a typical pasta and tomato sauce dish, you must try this baby led weaning beetroot pasta sauce for babies. It takes less than five minutes to prepare and best of all, you can batch make it to freeze in ice cube trays for the lazy days of the future!

Baby Led Weaning Salmon Burgers with Broccoli and Kale

Today I am sharing a recipe from fellow blogger and Mum of three Rebecca. She created this recipe as a yummy meal for two, but I’ve adapted it slightly to make it suitable for baby led weaning. This recipe will make the idea quick lunch for yourself and baby at home and uses lovely fresh ingredients to create a fragrant and delicious salmon burger with a healthy side of broccoli and kale to make sure the two of you are getting your full quota of nutrients.
